I would be happy to talk with you about any questions you might have. I would appreciate your vote so we together can bring a positive change to or community.
During 22 years serving in the Columbus office of Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), the states largest electric utility, I was privileged to have been engaged in many aspects of the electric utility industry including managing one of the states largest real estate departments and I was part of the project management team for the largest transmission construction project in Nebraska’s history. The last 8 plus years there, I helped manage the Area Development Group of NPPD performing the following duties.
Key Duties:
-
Establish and maintain good working relations with key electrical customers, community leaders, chamber of commerce leaders, local development groups, city officials, state government officials and state and federal agencies to maintain a united front for planning strategies for the utility industry.
-
Continuous contact with customers and community leaders to maintain communications with both, for the safe keeping of the utility assets. Renegotiate utility leases and wholesale contracts.
-
Creating long range and annual budgets for operation and maintenance.
-
Produce mailings and maintain phone contact with various customer for surveys concerning the utility performance.
-
Produce newsletter quarterly to inform contacts with the utility activities.
-
Work with various communities in setting up visitation programs with existing business and industry to maintain a good retention program.
-
Stay abreast of technical improvements in the various industries, and stay informed of the improvements in computer hardware and software in this field.
-
